This is the illustrated story that launched Candlelight Stories in November 1995.

After illustrating this story on paper and turning it into a Christmas gift, author Alessandro Cima put a version on the web as an experiment in website design. The story was immediately picked up by the newspaper USA Today which ran an article about how it had been given the Family Channel Seal of Excellence.

It was this attention from a major newspaper that gave Sally's author the idea to build a complete website called Candlelight Stories.
