They can enter our Mystery Contest without using contact

number that they can enter into the system to claim winning
prizes. This is done to eliminate any need for children
to enter email addresses.
Adults
only need to enter contact information for the following
reasons:
-
To order Sound Story memberships with a credit card
-
To order merchandise with a credit card
-
To submit a story, book or movie for posting on the site
-
To send us feedback or business proposals
Children may send e-greeting cards from our site. This service
asks for the email address of the recipient and the return
email address of the sender. It is not necessary for the
sender to enter their return email address.
We

Internet traffic tracking services or any other organization.

Contact
Candlelight Stories with questions.
Spoofing
or forging of our e-mail addresses - Some spammers
launch e-mail campaigns that look like messages sent by
CandlelightStories.com. We have noticed increased activity
of this sort recently and want to assure you that CandlelightStories.com
never sends any email messages out to advertise anything.
We only send emails to respond to questions from visitors
or to respond to authors, filmmakers, illustrators, or game
programmers who have contacted us about their work.
In fact,
it is our firm belief that if someone is advertising or
promoting anything... ANYTHING... via unsolicited emailings,
they are an absolute idiot and serve no useful purpose on
the internet or anywhere else. The DELETE key is best for
these people. That's our official company position on people
who send spam and spoof emails.
If
you receive an email advertising anything, rest assured
that it was not sent from us. Do not reply to it or click
on any links in it.
We,
as well as other respected names, are the victims of spammers
who are forging/faking/spoofing our email addresses. It
is totally beyond our control, and we regret very much that
we cannot stop it.
We have
nothing to do with such spam, which is a misrepresentation
of our good name.
We do not send, and have never sent, spam email of any sort.
In fact, we strongly oppose the act of "spamming"
or sending unsolicited commercial email (UCE).
If you
have received such spam email we are sorry, but emphasize
that it has nothing to do with us and was beyond our control.
"E-mail
Spoofing" is the latest nasty trend in spam, it is
the practice used by many spammers to falsify the header
information in their e-mail advertisements. By changing
the header information someone can make the email appear
to come from whoever they choose.
Hackers
are now routinely stealing the e-mail or Web site identities
of many people on the Web, and using them to send millions
of pieces of junk advertising or offending e-mails.
The
average person on the Internet doesn't yet understand what's
happening here, and many legitimate companies are obviously
being victimized.
Report spam to your ISP - Report spoofed e-mails
to your ISP and notify them that someone has stolen our
e-mail identity. Be sure to cut-and-paste the message header
from the spam message and send it in the body copy of your
e-mail message.
Never
respond to requests for personal information that may be
contained in the forged email.
Please
don't do anything which might result in CandlelightStories.com
being wrongly blacklisted as a spammer.
Thank
you for your help and understanding.
