WHAT HAPPENS IN THE STORY

Three brothers set out in search of the Water of Life which is the only thing that can save their dying father, the king.

The two older brothers are imprisoned by a dwarf with magic powers as they travel in search of the Water of Life. The youngest brother travels to an enchanted castle where he finds magical items, a beautiful princess, and the Water of Life.

On his way back home, the youngest brother frees his older brothers and heads home with them. They travel through many kingdoms and adventures on their way home. The two oldest brothers try to betray the youngest brother and win the affection of their father.

The story ends with all three brothers trying to win the princess as a bride. The youngest brother succeeds.
